Updates on papers and presentations

By Os Keyes

It’s been a bumper month for new publications and talks. First, a piece from my thesis (or: spun off my thesis) on my methods and reflections in reconstructing the records of a Gender Identity Clinic just came out in Logic(s). It’s a fun read, and probably the only historiography essay you’re going to read that features trans people and D.B. Cooper both.

Also out: a collaboration (also on gender) with Abraham Flaxman on data protections in the census - and how they do (or don’t) protect against the reidentification of trans kids (good news is they do a pretty good job!) You can read the preprint of that one here

I’m pleased to report the NHGRI presentation and conference went well, to the credit of all the organisers and attendees - many of whom had wonderful questions for the presenters.
